John founded John Duffy Design Group in 1993 as an Architectural company specialising in the hospitality sector. With over 25 years experience working throughout Ireland, Europe and the USA. John has a special interest in design and his influence and direction has helped propel John Duffy Design Group from strength to strength both and home in Ireland and Internationally.

Eunan Byrne, Director

Eunan commenced working in JDDG in January 1996 and became one of 3 directors of John Duffy Design Group in 2004. Eunan has worked on projects in Portugal, USA, Tenerife (Irish Pubs), hotel in London for an Irish Hotelier (121 bedrooms) Responsible for the direction and execution of the commercial interior projects within the practice as well management of the IT infrastructure within the practice.

Catherine Mara, Director

BSc.Arch. BArch, Diploma in Project Management, MRIAI

Catherine has extensive experience in a wide range of projects, both in Ireland and overseas where she has worked previously, in the US, France, Hungary and Australia.

As well as working as a Project Architect and a Project Manager, Catherine has been one of three Directors in the Dublin Studio since 2002, but originally joined the practice in 1999.

Her role encompasses responsibility for the co-ordination of all architectural design projects and graphic design projects run out of the Dublin Studio.

Her particular strengths and expertise lie in the contract administration of projects, and strategising for all scales of development to ensure the most desirable outcome is achieved.
