The Imperial Hotel Henley
The challenge is to convert an existing small hotel into a generic boutique hotel to service a local and tourist market (Henley Royal Regatta annual event).
Our proposal is to create a new identity for this Edwardian building, contemporize the interiors and rename the components elements. We have renamed the hotel “Artis Hotel” with a new bar now called ‘Lapis’ Champagne Bar. The adjoining quality dining restaurant, named ‘Eights Restaurant’ will have a glazed ‘orangery’ style structure. There will be a glass stairs from ground floor to basement level where a conference room is located.
Three different boutique bedroom styles were developed (1) The Modern (2) New York style and (3) The Zen Style bedroom. where available bedroom space is at a premium.
This hotel is currently under remodelling and expected to reopen in May 2011.
