Situated on the site of an old scrap yard in Ranelagh, surrounded by a mix of tasteful redbrick Victorian housing stock and modern mews dwellings, we were given the opportunity to design a mixed practice Medical Centre with penthouse apartment. The oversized picture window framed in redbrick to the main road echoes its environs in finish, however the inset crisp rendered walls and frameless glazed corner windows give a more contemporary edge. An overhanging zinc roof, and cedar clad penthouse level sit well within the chic neighbourhood.
