West Bar & Restaurant was a new purpose building of 1,800 sq.m. The brief was to create a “Wow” factor, which was achieved by marrying comfort with technology. Architectural lighting and gobos add to the impressive exterior. Countless design elements and innovations internally create drama on 3 levels. West is divided into bar, restaurant and club areas. The ground floor bar comprises of materials such as light oak veneered timber paneling, stone walls, Brazilian Walnut flooring with the impressive stainless steel staircase, which links the 3 levels. The bar is interactive, encouraging client participation. CCTV cameras broadcast patrons in the bar onto 9 large screens. The music management system combines music and a DJ, and is programmed to play tunes from jazzy mornings to upbeat weekend music.
