This bar located in Douglas, Co. Cork is the perfect eating and drinking establishment with a focus on the modern traditional style interior. A striking central fireplace with bold painted plasterwork and patinated copper detailing defines the raised dining area. The bar at the raised area features a high back bar with a wine bottle display at high level that echoes the diamond pattern of the veneered panels to the façade of the bar counter. The rich timber is offset by the exposed brick on the opposite wall and adjacent feature curved timber wall and fixed seat whose smooth lines lead effortlessly to the lower bar area which is dominated by the island bar which is characterised by a strong geometric linear timber paneled detail and a feature timber bulkhead that seems to float majestically overhead with cleverly concealed lighting accentuating the detail.
