JDDG International has recently completed the interior design for a new foodhall, café and wine bar in Dublin’s Ranelagh. The concept revolved around its location in Ranelagh, which has become a Mecca for restaurants, a foodie quarter, like Notting Hill in London. We wanted to create an urban chic warehouse, a warm, inviting eclectic space that would serve its customers from breakfast to evening meals. The business is a revenue generator throughout the day, seven days a week. Strong use was made of aged timbers throughout, including truly unique and hard to come by aged Irish Oak to the servery unit at the front of the deli. A new shopfront faces onto Ranelagh behind which is a feature low level chilled Carrara Marble display unit. At the other end of the shopfront are folding screens with a cill level table inside that presents a perfect interior exterior experience, a shelf at which people can sit and watch the world pass by.
