Jan 2012 JDDG Appointed to Provide Design Services to Marriott Libreville Gabon
JDDG International are delighting to announce that they have been successfully appointed to provide design services to the new 5 star Marriott Libreville Gabon, a new 254 bedroom hotel with 5900m² of offices space and 4850m² of Marriott Executive Apartments. This project represents JDDG International’s second project with Marriott in West Africa.
Jan 2012 Londis Store at KCR opens
John Duffy Design Group recently completed overseeing the construction works to amalgamate 3 small individual retail units into a single large scale Convenience Store of 350 sqm. area, adjoining a busy Petrol Station forecourt. This site is located at a major junction in Dublin City and remained open during the phased works in order to maintain the customer base. It incorporates a Subway , Butcher Counter, Delicatessen Counter and a large Wine area and Off-Licence, as well as a full supermarket offer. Engaged as Architects and Interior Design for the project, we secured all Statutory permissions for the development as well as over-viewing the phased construction works. Although currently branded as a Londis store, the scheme design is in line with ‘The Market’ in Belarmine, Stepaside which is a sister store for the same group.
Nov 2011 Cinnamon - Ranelagh - Opening soon
We are delighted to announce the successful opening of Cinnamon in Ranelagh Village, Dublin. This new cafe, foodhall and wine bar draws on the clever use of re-cycled and up-cycled items, as well as bespoke metalwork and salvaged items to create a unit that will sit perfectly within Ranelagh. Cinnamon has been warmly received by customers and we wish our client and his team continued success.
Nov 2011 Rainforest Adventure Golf opens its doors at Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin
Rainforest Adventure Golf recently opened its doors at the Dundrum Town Centre in Dublin, with John Duffy Design Group responsible for the Project Management and Interior Design of the venue. With capacity for approximately 350 patrons, the 36 hole Adventure Golf Course, Retail area and Café occupies an area of 1,520 square meters.
The design is strongly focused around a South American Rainforest theme, with lush artificial planting, hand carved Aztec and Mayan ‘stone’ ruins and large handcrafted Banyan trees throughout. When playing the course, the use of animatronics, background sound effects and colour change lighting complete the rainforest atmosphere for customers.
Outside of the course area, elements such as the digitally printed vinyl flooring with oversized rainforest animals and insects, snakeskin print backlit glass counters, digitally printed wall vinyl and brightly coloured acrylic seating ensures that the theme is carried throughout, and the experience of the venue is complete.
Nov 2011 Balcone Italiano opens at the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore
JDDG are delighted to announce the opening of Balcone Italiano at the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore. JDDG continue their history of successful design projects within the hotel with this innovatively rustic Italian Restaurant which specialises in homemade Italian food and hot stone steaks. We wish every success to the restaurant and to the hotel.
